Weston, FL garage storage systems and cabinets

Weston is a master-planned city on the western edge of Broward County, and its whole western boundary faces the Everglades. Most of it was developed by Arvida under the name Indian Trace. According to Wikipedia's history of Weston, the first homes were finished in 1984 in Country Isles and Windmill Ranch. Bonaventure was developed separately, and the city incorporated in 1996. Well-known neighborhoods today include Savanna, Weston Hills, the Isles at Weston and Windmill Ranch Estates, which has some of the city's largest lots.

That shapes overhead storage. Before placing a rack, the designer measures the door's full travel, the opener and the ceiling height, so the rack stays out of the door's way. Framing matters too. One Google reviewer, izzy B., wrote that because the beams and studs in the garage weren't aligned, the installers "had to add their own reinforcement to make it safe."

Weston sits about 7 feet above sea level, and the city's lakes and canals double as its stormwater drainage system. From May 15 to October 15, South Florida gets nearly 70% of its annual rain, according to the National Weather Service's Miami office, mostly as near-daily showers and thunderstorms. Wet cars pull in, and wind pushes rain under the door.
