The Benefits of Garage Floor Tiles

Our SwissTrax flooring has some great advantages over a plain concrete floor. Here are some of them:

• Slip resistance. During the summer, if the heavy rains blow into the garage when you open the garage door, it’s important to have flooring that isn’t going to get slippery when wet. While concrete is generally pretty safe when wet, a minor oil spill can change that before you even realize it. SwissTrax garage flooring is textured so you won’t slip and fall.
• Drains well. Speaking of water, whether it’s a windy downpour or a rinse with the hose, these floor tiles drain well. The water goes beneath the tiles and simply runs out of the garage or evaporates without causing damage.
• Fade resistance. If you have windows in your garage door or if you leave the door open on a sunny day, you won’t have to worry about the sun’s rays fading or cracking the tiles.
• Easy to walk on. A concrete floor can be unforgiving. These are rubberized or vinyl and are forgiving underfoot. In fact, some clients use them on their pool decks and in areas other than the garage!
• Available in a wide variety of colors and styles. A concrete floor is either gray or whatever color sealer you choose. With SwissTrax floors, you can make a grid, section off part of the garage for a specific purpose and use a different color in that area, choose tiles with graphics on them, pay homage to your favorite team... the possibilities are endless!
